Wayne M. Munn, 62

Wayne Michael Munn of Kingston died Oct. 15, 2004 in Bremerton. He was 62.

He was born to Oral and Jessie (Browning) Munn in Ogden, Utah on Dec. 23, 1941.

He was married to Juanita (Moon) Martin.

Munn graduated from Ogden High School in Ogden, Utah in 1960 and then from Olympic College in 1972.

He served in the U.S. Army from March 1960 to March 1963, achieving the rank of sergeant.

Munn later worked for Puget Sound Naval Shipyard as foreman for 29 years before his retirement in 1992. During that time, he received the Department of Navy Sustained Superior Performance award and contributed to the success of the USS Michigan SSBN 727 by PSNS.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Munn enjoyed camping and being with his children and grandchildren. He was a Protestant.

Munn is survived by his ex-wife Juanita (Moon) Martin of Bremerton; son Daryl E. Munn of Bremerton; daughter Kimberly R. Munn of Suquamish; brothers Rick Munn and Shane Munn, both of Layton, Utah; sisters Jacquie Wegner of West Jordan, Utah, Sandra Roundy of Farr West, Utah and Lynn Munn of Salt Lake City, Utah; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Oral and Jessie (Browning) Munn and son Jeffrey O. Munn.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 23 at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Bremerton. A funeral will take place at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 24 at Bayside Community Church. Interment will be at the Kingston Cemetery.

Jo Ann F. Otulau, 54

Bremerton resident Jo Ann France Otulau died Oct. 18, 2004 in Bremerton. She was 54.

Otulau was born to Joe Hal France and Florence “Randee” Mort in Bemidji, Minn. on June 14, 1950.

She married Sioeli “Joe” Otulau on June 15, 1985 in Bremerton.

Otulau graduated from Central Kitsap High School in Silverdale in 1968 and attended Olympic College in Bremerton.

She was a galley worker on the Bremerton run of the Washington State Ferries for five years and was a senior dispatcher for Chico Towing for 12 years.

Otulau enjoyed plants and gardening, cooking, bingo and politics/world affairs.

Otulau is survived by her husband Sioeli “Joe” Otulau of Bremerton; sons Justin J. France of Bremerton and Jacob L. Sigo of Suquamish; daughter Krishna France of Bremerton; brother Stuart Barhan of Bremerton; mother Florence “Randee” Mort of Bremerton; and one grandchild.

Otulau was preceded in death by father Joe Hal France and sister Kimberlee Barhan.

A celebration of life/memorial service will be at noon Oct. 24 at Suquamish Tribal Center, 15838 Sandy Hook Road NE, Suquamish.
