Donna Linton Grout, 78

Donna Linton Grout of Hansville died Jan. 7, 2004. She was 78.

Grout was born to C.W. and Nettie Linton on Nov. 13, 1925.

Before graduating from Lincoln High School, she met her future husband, Richard L. Grout while both attended University Presbyterian Church.

She attended the University of Washington until the two married and started their family.

Grout was passionate about faith, family, community and service. She and Richard served together as missionaries in Cameroun, Africa for 12 years, followed by 20 years ministry at Cottage Lake Presbyterian Church. She also served as office manager for Seattle Psychiatric Group. Retirement in 1985 took them back to service in Cameroun, followed by active involvement in the Hansville Church and community for 18 years.

Grout is survived by her husband Richard Grout; sons Larry and Dave; daughters Lois and Donna Jr.; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her children Ricky and Debby.
