Katherine “Kitty” G. Wood of Poulsbo died Feb. 22, 2005 in Poulsbo. She was 59.

Wood was born to Audrey (Lindeman) Hopkins and Maurice Skelton in Seattle on Sept. 23, 1945.

She married Gordon L. Wood.

Wood graduated from Roosevelt High School in Seattle.

She was a volunteer and secretary of the executive board of the North Kitsap Fishline Food Bank. She was also a Master Gardener and enjoyed working in her garden and helping others grow plants.

Wood is survived by her husband Gordon L. Wood of Poulsbo; mother Audrey Hopkins of Keyport; daughters Karen Lincoln of Gig Harbor and Susan (Timothy) Brann of Poulsbo; stepson Gordon (Dawn) Wood Jr. of Lake Elsinore; stepdaughter Shari (Kevin) Wood-Flatly of Bremerton; sisters Maureen Campbell of Seattle and Lorrine Gaulke of Keyport; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father Maurice Skelton.

Visitation will take place from 9-11 a.m. Feb. 26 at St. Olaf’s Catholic Church in Poulsbo. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the same location.
