KINGSTON – Kingston finished 13th and North Kitsap finished 16th in the 2016 2A Boys Cross Country State Meet, Nov. 5 at Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco.

Senior Silas Griffith of Ridgefield won the title, topping the field of 157 runners in the 5K run with a time of 15:47.6.

Junior Andrew Simon of Kingston was the top finisher of seven runners from his school, running the 5K in 16:33.5 to finish 21st. Senior Zachary Keith of North Kitsap was the top finisher from his school, running the 5K in 17:47.3 to finish 101st.

In the girls state meet, freshman Aidan Mills, the only runner from Kingston High School at state, ran the 5K in 21:59.4 to finish 113th of 158 runners. Pullman junior Elyria Kabasenche won the title with a time of 18:41.3.
