Francis “Frank” Lewis Virgil Schaffer of Kingston died July 7, 2003 in Kingston. He was 53.
Schaffer was born to Otto Schaffer and Hazel (King) Schaffer in Bremerton on Oct. 31, 1949.
He married to Gayle (Sullenger) Schaffer July 31, 1943 in Poulsbo.
Schaffer attended North Kitsap High School. He also served in the Army. Schaffer enjoyed showing Old English Sheepdogs at the kennel “Legacy of Wales.” He belonged to the Old English Sheepdog Club of America and his hobby was making dog grooming tables.
Schaffer is survived by his wife Gayle Ann (Sullenger) Schaffer of Kingston; son Preston James Schaffer of Kingston; daughters Chanell Goodall of Brooks, Ore. and Serene Kay Schaffer of Kingston; his brothers Jack Ring of Kingston and Kent Schaffer of Seattle; and sister Candice Jernigan; his parents in-law Eileen and Ira Sullenger of Brooks, Ore.; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Sheryl Lynn Schaffer; sister Beatrice Ruth (Ring) Larreau; and brother Loren Russell Schaffer.
Services were held on July 14 at Lewis Funeral Chapel.
