Nicholas D. Lampsakis of Kingston died of a heart attack early July 14. He was 66.
Lampsakis was born on May 2, 1943, in Salonika, Greece, to Demetrius N. and Maria (Georgolo) Lampsakis.
He graduated from the University of Washington with a master’s degree in fisheries science.
Lampsakis was married 44 years to Marcella (McDowell) Lampsakis. He worked for more than 30 years for the Point-No-Point Treaty Council. He loved to travel and therefore had many interests such as conservation of the land and seas.
He is survived by his wife: Marcella of Kingston; brother: John Lampsakis; niece: Marianna Palamedis; and nephew: Demitrius Lampsakis all of Athens, Greece.
Public visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Poulsbo Mortuary on July 23 and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 24.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. July 24 at The Tribal Gymnasium at the Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribal Reservation.
