Vern Schliebe of Kingston died June 22. He was 74.

Schliebe was born March 21, 1936 to Herman and Oltillia (Wagner) Schliebe in Westport, S.D. He served in the Army Reserves from 1954-1961. He worked as a foreman for Longview Fiber Company, and later as a handyman. He is preceded in death by one son, Gregory Schliebe, and several brothers and sisters. Schliebe is survived by his wife, Dottie Schliebe; sons, Dale and Timothy Schliebe, Craig Sullivan and Thomas, Robert and Nicholas Lee; daughters, Pamela and Deborah Schliebe; brothers, Gerald, Derald and Lyle Schliebe; sisters Violet Gronso, Myrna Gugel and Lucille Jensen; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A celebration of life was June 26. Memorial donations can be made to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research in Seattle.
