PORT ORCHARD — Kitsap County Fire Marshal David Lynam has been presented the 2016 Fire Marshal of the Year Award from the Washington state’s fire marshals association.
Lynam told the gathering of Washington State Association of Fire Marshals in Spokane last weekend that “I couldn’t be more surprised and honored to be recognized by my peers.”
David Kokot, fire protection engineer with the City of Spokane, presented Lynam with the award. “David always has time to respond to colleagues in need of answers and he shares his knowledge as an instructor on behalf of the association and at the college level,” Kokot said of Lynam.
“He has worked tirelessly on behalf of fire prevention and community risk reduction, not only for Washington state, but also at the national and international levels.”
