POULSBO — Poulsbo Coffee Oasis is this year’s recipient of $5,000 from Jewelers for Children.

Richard Koven, owner of Dahlquist’s Fine Jewelry and a member of the Poulsbo Rotary Club, presented the check to Coffee Oasis representatives at the coffee shop in a recent ceremony. The award was the result of the Coffee Oasis finishing in the top 10 nominated charities in voting conducted on Facebook.

The Poulsbo Coffee Oasis was nominated by Koven, who has nominated several local winning charities over the past few years. The success of his nominees is the result the voting support of his fellow Poulsbo Rotarians, customers and friends in the community.

Jewelers for Children was founded in 1999 by the U.S. jewelry industry with the mission of helping children in need.
