Bertha Gwynn, 84
Bertha Gwynn, the youngest of 12 children, was born April 28, 1924, in Yelm. She died from a sudden stroke on July 5, surrounded by family. She was 84.
Gwynn is survived by Betty Foster (Jim), Jim Gwynn (Suzi), Frankie Hall (Dick), Pam Cox (Paul), Michael Gwynn, 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by Bill, her husband of 56 years; her son, Bob; and daughter, Billie Anne.
She led an active life including volunteer work at the Holy Trinity Church library, Harrison Medical Center gift shop and St. Vincent de Paul. She was also involved with the Knights of Columbus, YLI, the Red Hat Society and many church activities. Her favorite interests always included family and friends.
She loved to travel and share her adventures with everyone.
A rosary will be recited at 10:15 a.m. and funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on July 11 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Bremerton. Graveside service will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Tacoma.
In lieu of flowers, make donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Bailey-Boushay House.
