The Christmas miracle so many have always believed in is happening before our very eyes.
The goal of $25,000 for the North Kitsap Bellringer fund that seemed nearly impossible just a few weeks ago is now in sight. With less than a week until Christmas, we have already received more than $21,000.
The volunteer Bellringer shoppers plan to buy the groceries for the holiday meals on Friday morning, and it looks like they can feed many more families this year.
If you haven’t yet mailed your check to the North Kitsap Bellringer fund, plan to stop by our office or Kitsap Bank this weekend and drop it off personally.
Donations are used to provide Christmas meals, toys for area children—and Christmas shopping needs to be completed this weekend.
And, if you can’t stop by personally this week, you can mail your contribution. Donations are also used to assist families throughout the year with other important expenses such as utility bills, clothing, medical expenses, school supplies, rent and transportation costs. Donations will be accepted at the Herald until Jan. 2, 2002.
Your tax-deductible donation can be made at the North Kitsap Herald office 18887 Highway 305 (office building next to the Dairy Queen, on the lower level), Poulsbo; Kitsap Bank in Poulsbo, 19725 7th Avenue; or mailed to the North Kitsap Herald, P.O. Box 278, Poulsbo 98370. Contributions of $250 or more receive a receipt for the donor’s records.
The Bellringer Fund is administered by the Raab Foundation, and the Poulsbo Noon Lions Club. This is the 50th anniversary of the Bellringer Fund which was begun by Frank and Mabel Raab.
