Bremerton man arrested for assaulting his grandfather

A young Bremerton man was arrested earlier this month for assaulting his 74-year-old grandfather and fracturing the elder man's skull.

A young Bremerton man was arrested earlier this month for assaulting his 74-year-old grandfather and fracturing the elder man’s skull.Anthony Michael Hueske, 23, of the 6800 block of Thebes Street NE was taken into custody by Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office deputies May 7, three days after the alleged assault. He has been charged with assault in the second degree with a domestic violence enhancement and is currently being held on $100,000 bond.Police were called to the Thiebes Street address May 4 when a neighbor called to report an assault. Police found the 74-year-old grandfather sitting on the porch of the home while bleeding from his nose, mouth and ears. He also had lacerations on his forehead. He told police he did not know why his grandson assaulted him or taken his 2006 Ford pickup truck.Medics from Central Kitsap Fire and Rescue treated the grandfather and transported him to Harrison. Once there, doctors discovered a skull fracture and transported the man to Seattle for further treatment.Police located Hueske three days after the alleged assault. He said that he had blacked out on the day of the assault and could not remember it or any other events from that day. He told police that he was kicked out of the army three years ago after driving a truck in Korea for two years and needed help controlling his rage and other issues.
