If the North Kitsap Herald had to compile and write down every good deed the Greater Poulsbo Chamber of Commerce has done in the past 50 years, it would do two things: 1) fill the entire newspaper and 2) require our first-ever 80-pager.
Flipping through the yellowing pages of Herald’s from the past five decades, it’s difficult to go too far without reading about the chamber and its positive impact on the North Kitsap community. The chamber of commerce does more than inspire tourism, it inspires locals to work together and enhance something that every one of us rely on every single day — our businesses.
Without the solid cornerstones of our local stores, services, mom and pop shops, and big businesses, North Kitsap would not be the place it is today. For 50 years, the chamber has helped nurture our relationships with the people who run these enterprises and has helped residents here understand that supporting businesses goes much deeper than simply being customers.
The chamber, in doing so, has also achieved the status of being a cornerstone. For this and the countless things it does for all of us, the Herald would just like to say something we say quite a bit but means every single time: Thanks for everything.
We’ve been keeping tabs on the fine works you have done for 50 years and are looking forward to doing so for 50 more — for starters. If the North Kitsap Herald had to compile and write down every good deed the Greater Poulsbo Chamber of Commerce has done in the past 50 years, it would do two things: 1) fill the entire newspaper and 2) require our first-ever 80-pager.
