If there is one romantic trend among Kitsap’s sweethearts, it’s that they love the outdoors.

That’s what Kitsap readers said when polled last summer.

Each year, the papers in the Sound Publishing family attempt to discover the best of Kitsap. The results are strictly the product of readers’ input, listing everything from the best restaurants to the best lawyers.

Among that list is the most romantic spot. Readers of the Bainbridge Island Review, Bremerton Patriot, Central Kitsap Reporter and Port Orchard Independent each asked readers where the most romantic spot was in their areas. The North Kitsap Herald strayed slightly from the pack and asked for the best place to make out, but the sentiment stands.

It’s a decent gauge on where the county’s hot spots are — ideal for planning a romantic outing.

Readers overwhelmingly voted outdoor locales as their preferred places to share a magical moment. Nearly every single result was a park or trail, except for Port Orchard’s Bay Street Bistro and Bremerton’s La Fermata Restaurant.
