Kitsap Transit sets public fare policy meetings

BREMERTON — Kitsap County residents are being asked to provide their input about Kitsap Transit’s proposed fare structure for the cross-sound passenger-only ferry service from Bremerton, Kingston and Southworth to downtown Seattle at a series of county meetings.

The meetings also will provide a chance to comment on other aspects of the service, such as reservations policy, and for attendees to fill out a survey. Public comments will be shared with the transit board, which anticipates taking action on the proposed fares at the public meeting on Feb. 7.

The meetings will be on:

Wednesday, Jan. 11 at 6:30 p.m. — Bremerton

Harborside Building, 2nd floor, 60 Washington Ave.

Wednesday, Jan. 18, 6:30 p.m. — Kingston

Village Green Community Center, 26159 Dulay Rd. NE

Thursday, Jan. 19, 6:30 p.m. — Southworth

Harper Church, 10384 SE Sedgwick Rd.

Saturday, Jan. 21

Bremerton — Harborside Building, 2nd Floor, 60 Washington Ave. — 9 a.m.

Kingston — Village Green Community Center, 26159 Dulay Rd. NE — 11:30 a.m.
