The Port Orchard Library is the site for a free tax assistance and filing by AARP from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8.

Individuals must bring photo identification, all 2012 tax documents and statements for all sources of income (W1, 1099, ect.) evidence of real estate taxes paid in 2012, a copy of last years tax return for comparison purposes, documents verifying social security numbers for every person to be claimed on your tax return and birth dates for every person to be claimed on your tax return, along with child care provider name, address, and tax ID number; and checking and savings account numbers for direct deposit.
