POUSLBOPALOOZA: Poulsbopalooza will showcase eight local bands from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Poulsbo’s Raab Park on Saturday, Aug. 28. Safari, Thresh and Faithful Sinners Workshop are headlining the show, which includes two live jam sessions where musicians and bands can sign up to play a song or two.

RUMMAGE SALE: The North Kitsap High School band boosters will hold a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, at the Northwest Design Center at the corner of Hwy 305 and Hostmark Street. Money raised will help pay for the band’s upcoming performance at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii.

SOAP BOX DERBY: The Kitsap Soap Box Derby Association begins a new season Saturday, Aug. 28, on Dauntless Drive in Poulsbo. Races will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. SILENT AUCTION: St. Charles Anglican Church in Poulsbo will host a silent auction to benefit the North Kitsap Clothing Closet from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 4. WOMEN’S BOOK CLUB: A Women’s Wealth Book Club will meet from 5-8 p.m. the second Thursday of the month at the First Lutheran Church, 18920 4th Avenue NE, Poulsbo. The book club begins Sept. 9. Cost is $10 per month and includes dinner. WWBC’s purpose is to bring high-achieving business women and independent professionals together in discussion, learning and networking. Toiletries and accessories are collected for donations to local women’s shelters at each meeting.

POULSBO AMERICANA FESTIVAL: A free summer concert with kids games, food and a wine and beer garden will be from 2-7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at Raab Park.
