North Kitsap blows out Port Townsend

The North Kitsap High fastpitch team romped past Port Townsend High Friday, 16-0. Demiya Dybbro-Holt got the shutout for the Vikings. North Kitsap will host Olympic High at 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Kingston racers place at Larry Eason Invite

The Kingston High boys and girls track and field teams competed at the Larry Eason Invitational Saturday at Snohomish High School. Five Kingston athletes received medals for placing in the top eight in their events.

Nicholas Schippers placed fourth in the 1,600 meters with a time of 4 minutes, 20.39 seconds. Ruby Roberts placed fourth in the 3,200 meters with a time of 11:23.18. Marina Roberts was fifth in the 3,200 meters, with a time of 11:23.65. Jaime Schultz was sixth in the triple jump with a distance of 34 feet, 7.75 inches. The Kingston girls distance medley relay team placed second with a time of 12:57.64. The team consisted of Schultz, both Roberts sisters and Ramona Morshead.

Kingston will host Sequim and North Mason at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday.

North Kitsap racers place at Pasco Invite

The North Kitsap High boys and girls track and field teams competed at the Pasco Invitational Saturday. Several North Kitsap athletes placed at the meet.

Elizabeth Staker was fifth in the 800 meters with a time of 2 minutes, 20.92 seconds. Siara Byers took eighth in the 100-meter dash, with a time of 12.87 seconds. Annelise Weinmann placed eighth in the 3,200 meters with a time of 11:28.71. The girls distance medley team, made up of Staker, Byers, Weinmann and Kendall Rock, placed fifth with a time of 12:59.37.

Alex Flores took sixth in the boys 200 meters with a time of 22.93 seconds. The boys distance medley team of Tyler Spear, Tolen McGregor, Tabor Reedy and Joel Brose took second with a time of 10:29.00.

The Vikings host North Mason and Port Angeles high schools Thursday at 3:15 p.m.
