PORT ORCHARD — Frances “Fran” Blackstock died Jan. 28 at Cottesmore of Life Care in Gig Harbor. She was 86.

She was born in Seattle. She married William C. Blackstock on Jan. 20, 1949. Fran and Bill raised their family in Bothell, lived for many years in Union, then in Port Orchard.

Fran worked for the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, the U.S. Census Bureau, and as contractor of Blackstock & Sons Masonry. The couple wintered in Desert Hot Springs, California.

Fran is survived by her brother, William Eul of Seattle; daughters, Kathy Barrera of Nigeria and Nancy Ford of Olympia; sons, Bill (Cathie) and Jeff (Roxi) of Port Orchard; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her husband in 2008 and one grandson.
