Wallace E. Nelson, an artist and World War II combat Marine, passed away on Jan. 11. He was 92. His wife of 62 years, Kathleen, was by his side.
He was born to Martin and Alma Nelson in Sheboygan, Wisconsin on July 6, 1924.
His career was in graphics and display design in Chicago and at Boeing. He and a buddy built and flew gliders for fun, and he and Kathleen sailed the T-bird he built. They loved whitewater rafting, sailing the Pacific and Caribbean, and remodeling homes.
A celebration of life took place on Feb. 4 at Liberty Bay Presbyterian Church, Poulsbo.
