PORT ORCHARD — Students from schools in the South Kitsap School District will be showcasing their talents at the Young Artists in Action event Thursday, May 25 at South Kitsap High School.

The event will run from 5 to 7 p.m. The yearly event celebrates the creative endeavors of the South Kitsap students who participated in the Arts 4 Learning Project this year, Amy Miller, school district spokeswoman, said.

The event is open to the public. An art gallery walk will take place between 5 and 7 p.m. in the high school commons. The school’s dance program will be featured at 6 p.m. in the South Kitsap High School theater.

The junior high and high school orchestras also will perform at 7 p.m.
