I agree with Hal Hoover’s letter on health care. I grew up under the German universal health care system (including dental) and it works well. Republicans keep whining about the affordability and find all kinds of reasons why it can’t work, why it is socialism or communism. If European countries, Canada and Japan can afford universal health care, why can’t we? And if it is Mercantilism or Socialism or Fabianism, or public option, who cares as long as our government takes care of its own people?
