POULSBO — A $9.4 million Lotto ticket was purchased in Poulsbo, but at the time Washington Lottery offices closed for the weekend on Friday, July 21, no winner had come forward.
Washington Lottery officials issued a notice Friday morning that the prize from the July 1 drawing was still unclaimed. Lottery officials are asking players to check their tickets.
The winning numbers are 01-08-09-21-22-30. The prize expires on Dec. 28.
“If someone believes they have the winning ticket, Washington’s Lottery recommends signing the back of the ticket and keeping it in a safe place until they are ready to claim their prize,” said Ann Marie Ricard, a spokesperson for Washington’s Lottery. “By signing the back of the ticket, it officially becomes that person’s ticket. Only the person whose name matches the signature on the ticket may claim its winnings.”
The ticket was bought somewhere in Poulsbo, but Ricard indicated further information on the exact location at which the ticket was sold cannot be shared.
This is the largest Lotto Jackpot in the past five years, according to Washington’s Lottery. The last time a larger Lotto Jackpot was won was a $10.9 million prize on May 19, 2012.
The winner can claim the prize from any Washington’s Lottery regional office until Dec. 28, the notice stated. The Washington’s Lottery regional office nearest to Poulsbo is located at 33701 9th Ave. South, Federal Way. Lottery offices are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
If unclaimed, one-third of the money will go to the Economic Strategic Reserve Account for use in promoting economic development. The remaining two-thirds will be used for future lottery prizes.
