POULSBO — Join your neighbors at 6:30 p.m. today for National Night Out 2017 at Muriel Iverson Williams Waterfront Park in downtown Poulsbo.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.
National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community.
Millions of neighbors take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities, and military bases worldwide on the first Tuesday in August.
This year, the Poulsbo Police Department is proud to bring National Night Out back to our community. There will be displays from the police department, Poulsbo Fire Department, Poulsbo Public Works, and local businesses. There will also be demonstrations throughout the night with Poulsbo Police Department’s K-9, “Kilo”.
This event is running simultaneously with the “Summer Nights at the Bay” concert series, featuring “Jersey Blues.” As an added feature, immediately following the concert there will be a “Movie Under the Stars” presentation of Disney’s “Moana.”
