BREMERTON — The West Sound Quilters’ annual quilt show — “Tradition with a Twist” — will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 6-7 in Presidents’ Hall at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds.
The show will feature about 300 quilts made by members, wearable art, vendors, demonstrations, quilt turning, a raffle quilt, treasure chest, auction blocks, community quilts, a cafe and a fat quarter raffle. Admission is $5.
Simone Montford, who is the featured artist this year, has local roots. Her quilts, wall hangings and wearable art have a distinctively whimsical and vibrantly imaginative flair, said quilt show co-chair Pat Lintho.
“Simone is a prolific quilter, and has an incredible collection of hand-constructed quilted jackets,” Lintho said.
West Sound Quilters is a local nonprofit quilt guild with 200 members from Poulsbo to Allyn. Monthly guild meetings are at Givens Community Center in Port Orchard.
