SOUTH KITSAP — An out-of-control house party in South Kitsap Nov. 17 resulted in stabbing injuries to two area teenage males, who later were taken to Tacoma General Hospital with serious injuries.
Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Deputy Scott Wilson said the males were 17 and 18 years old, both from South Kitsap. He said the 18-year-old victim suffered critical injuries from the knifing.
When sheriff’s deputies arrived at the 2700 block of SW Treehouse Way at 10:50 p.m., the two knifing victims were about to be driven in a 2003 VW Jetta to get medical treatment. Deputies instead called for South Kitsap Fire and Rescue medical aid, which then took them to the hospital.
After the injured males had been taken to the hospital, the party attendees were separated and witness statements taken by the deputies, Wilson said. While that took place, another sheriff’s office vehicle en route to the incident reported it had identified a vehicle on Glenwood Road SW that was suspected of fleeing the party.
Deputies followed the vehicle, a 2003 Toyota Corolla, which Wilson said was carrying at least five juveniles. It turned off Glenwood onto a dead-end street, where it stopped at a residence. At that point, deputies detained the group, which had been driven in the Toyota by a 16-year-old female from Bremerton. Also inside the vehicle were two males, one a 19-year-old and the other a 16-year-old, both from Bremerton.
The 19-year-old male also was booked for being a minor under the influence of alcohol, Wilson said.
