A 57-year-old female Port of Poulsbo live-aboard was found dead Friday morning near her boat. The woman’s body was discovered next to D Dock by a visiting friend, according to Poulsbo Fire Department captain John Warnke.

Authorities are unsure why the woman was in the water and don’t know how long it was before she was discovered. The cause of death has yet to be determined. The Poulsbo Police Department is investigating.
