SUQUAMISH — If your car is one of the 22,000 vehicles that cross the Agate Pass Bridge every day, you may be in for some delays this month: The 68-year-old structure is due for its annual cleaning and safety inspection.
The bridge will be reduced to one-way alternating traffic from 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 12-15, Feb. 20-23, and Feb. 26 to March 2.
The bridge also will be reduced to one-way alternating traffic from 7:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 24 and 25.
Expect delays of 30 minutes or more.
The Agate Pass Bridge is a structural steel truss cantilever bridge built in 1950. It is 1,229 feet long. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
