KINGSTON – Linda Jeanne Purser, 66, of Kingston passed away on Feb. 26 at The Messenger House on Bainbridge Island.

She was born Nov. 1, 1951.

Linda was selfless. She loved helping others and placed others before herself. Her children and grandchildren were always her top priority and no one could change that. She enjoyed helping her community and did more for the people of the Port Gamble Tribe than could be repaid.

She was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin Leon Purser. She is survived by her children Carlton and Lenard Cook, Tara and Rose Purser, Benjamin Purser, Jr., daughter-in-law Sachane Cook, brother Tony Blackledge; and grandchildren Alyssa Cook, Conner Cook, Titan Purser, Xavier Purser and Dwayne Hopper.

She also leaves behind many other loving family and friends. A memorial service was held on March 3. Memorial contributions can be made to The American Cancer Society.
