BREMERTON — Beginning March 14, drivers on the Seattle 3 p.m. and 4:20 p.m. ferry to Bremerton will encounter surface street delays leaving the Bremerton terminal, due to the closure of the right lane of westbound Burwell Street/SR 304 between Montgomery and Callow avenues.

Additionally, the right lane of southbound Callow Avenue will be closed at Burwell Street. The two lanes turning left onto southbound Callow Avenue from westbound Burwell will be reduced to one left-turn lane. This 24-hour closure will continue for approximately two weeks. Work is weather dependent and drivers are advised to consider alternate routes.

The city’s contractor for the Highway Safety Improvements Project will be replacing the sidewalk and curb ramps at the south west corner of Callow and Burwell. The lane closure is required in order to accommodate the work and to detour pedestrians around the work site.
