Poulsbo looking to buy waterfront property for park

POULSBO — The City of Poulsbo has recently made moves to acquire some waterfront property on the western shore of Liberty Bay for future use as a waterfront park.

According to a purchase and sale agreement included in an agenda for an upcoming April 4 city council meeting, the property in question is located just to the east of Viking Avenue NW, on the east side of 5th Avenue NW between NW Liberty Road and NW Bay street.

The $725,000 purchase of the property is contingent upon the successful completion of a $400,000 grant agreement between the city and the Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office.
