MANCHESTER — The Friends of Manchester Library is sponsoring its annual plant and book sale on Saturday and Sunday, April 28-29.

The event will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 28, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 29, at the Manchester Library, 8067 E. Main St. in Manchester.

Sponsors said plant experts will be available to answer questions and give planting advice. Master gardeners will also be available during the first day of the event on April 28.

Perennials, shrubs, trees, ground-cover plants and vegetable starts will be available for purchase at the event. Sponsors said they are requesting donations of plastic one-gallon or larger pots for reuse.

Books from all genres also will be available for purchase.
