Phyllis Anne Lindahl was born July 1, 1932, to Elsie Mae and McKinnley Rutherford Johnson in Tacoma, Washington. She passed away peacefully on Monday, April 16, 2018, with her loving family by her side at home, in Poulsbo, Washington.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years Elmer LeRoy Lindahl who passed away in 2009.

She leaves behind six cherished children, Leanne Lake, Randy Lindahl, Rene’e Higgins, Connie Richards, David Lindahl, and Gayle Thomas, their spouses, her treasured grandchildren and great grand grandchildren.

As we mourn her passing we take time to reflect on the life of a wonderful woman.

Phyllis was raised in Eglon, Washington where she helped her family run the local fishing resort. She met the love of her life at the Lemolo dance hall in 1948, and graduated from North Kitsap High School in 1950 in Poulsbo, Washington.

Phyllis and Elmer married April 19, 1953. They raised their six children on their ten acre homestead off Clear Creek Road in Poulsbo, WA where she loved to garden, can fresh fruit, volunteer at school and run the concession stand at the baseball fields.

Later, she found her passion for farmers markets where she sold her garden vegetables, homemade pies and crafts. Also she enjoyed oil painting and attended her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren’s sporting events.

Her selflessness, humor and kindness will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Donations can be made in Phyllis Lindahl’s name to Kitsap County Hospice.
