PORT ORCHARD — An almost completely submerged sailboat in Sinclair Inlet, due north of the Swimdeck Gastro Pub on Bay Street, sits May 8 awaiting rescue by its owner.

The vessel was reported to be sinking last week by area residents and onlookers, but it apparently ran aground and is staying put.

The state Department of Ecology has reported that the sailboat did not have any fuel or oil aboard.
