Ten Buccaneers and Vikings on 2A Olympic All-League list

Peter Sustad, Ian Schmid, Adin Bowers, Nate Blanchard and Wyatt Murphy were named to the first team

KITSAP COUNTY — Six Buccaneers and Four Vikings populate the 2A Olympic All-League lists as voted on by the league’s coaches.

Kingston’s slots were filled by Ian Schmid, arguably the top goal-keeper in the league with eight shutouts, a strong central defender in Adin Bowers and four-year starting midfielder Peter Sustad.

Second-team all-league forward Henry Golden led the Olympic League with 22 goals and also added eight assists for the league-champion Buccaneers. Golden recorded four hat tricks this year.

Nate Blanchard was one of the catalysts for North Kitsap’s late-season run that came to an end in the state tournament with a loss to Archbishop Murphy. Blanchard led the team with nine goals and helped spark an offense that took a little time to jell this season. He is joined on the first team by sophomore Wyatt Murphy.
