A 38-year-old Port Orchard man was found sleeping naked Sunday in a Bremerton mobile home park office after ransacking the building looking for his one true love.
Bremerton police were called to the mobile home park in the 6200 block of Price Road at 6:18 a.m. for a burglary in progress with a naked male sleeping on a couch, according to police reports. Officers found various items strewn about the lawn outside the office. Outside light fixtures were torn from the side of the building and the front door mat was thrown onto the lawn. Inside, tables and chairs were moved around and wooden ducks were missing from shelves. The man’s clothing was scattered on the floor.
After the man was handcuffed, he told police he was dropped off at the mobile home park at midnight or 1 a.m. by a friend. He said “signs” brought him there to look for his “one soulmate” in the building. After tearing off exterior lighting to look for a key, he found an unlocked window and entered the office. He turned over furniture to look for his soulmate and, finding none, took a shower and fell asleep on the couch.
The man was booked into Kitsap County jail for investigation of second-degree burglary and third-degree malicious mischief.
