A Port Orchard man has been charged with first-degree assault and drive by shooting following a couple of incidents on Nov. 17 and 18.

According to charging documents, Kitsap County Sheriff’s deputies received a call for an individual making threats with a gun on Nov. 18 in the 2400 block of Mitchell Road SE. Officers say that the license plate of the grey Audi driven by the threatening party, Trivell Jordan, 48, also matched the plates of a vehicle reportedly involved in a drive-by shooting near the Christian Life Center on Mitchell Road the previous night.

After locating Jordan near his home, officers conducted what was described as a high-risk stop and instructed Jordan to exit the vehicle. According to one officer’s report, a black pistol was immediately located on the floor of the vehicle. Shortly after being detained, Jordan requested a lawyer but then allegedly admitted to firing a shot at another vehicle in a fit of apparent road rage, documents say. Jordan also allegedly told the officer that he suffered from post traumatic stress disorder.

Nobody was injured in the shooting, and officers were unable to find evidence that a round had struck a vehicle.

On Nov. 18, Jordan arrived at the house of an acquaintance and allegedly began threatening the residents while holding a pistol, documents say. Jordan said that the acquaintance had been harassing him by driving his motorcycle by Jordan’s place of residence.

A search of the Audi by officers yielded a .40 caliber pistol and one spent. 40 caliber shell casing. A shotgun was found in the trunk as well.

Jordan is being held on $300,000 bail for the charges of first-degree assault, drive-by shooting and second degree assault.
