A 2,500 gallon sewage spill in Silverdale on Dec. 1 has caused the Kitsap County Public Health District to issue a no-contact advisory for northern portion of Dyes Inlet.
The seven-day no-contact advisory will remain in effect through Saturday, December 8.
The district advises against swimming, wading or types of water recreation or play where water could be swallowed, get in the mouth, nose or eyes. People should avoid direct skin contact if possible and immediately wash with soap and water if they have exposure to the water.
