After a long and courageous battle against lung disease, Kenneth Allen Smith, 71, passed away on December 27, 2018, with family by his side.
Kenny was born to Raymond and Evelyn Smith on August 20th, 1947, in Bremerton, WA. He lived all over North Kitsap, and was a member of the class of 1966 before settling in the Seattle area as an adult.
Kenny took tremendous pleasure in owning and operating his own company for over 30 years As an Allstate Insurance Agent, he was grateful and blessed to make many life-long friends.
Kenny was funny, affectionate, and occasionally boisterous. He valued relationships before everything else. Kenny had many special memories of taking his children and grandchildren to his sister Carole’s house in rural Kingston, where they played cards, enjoyed bonfires, and celebrated life together. He also loved talking sports with anyone who would listen, especially daughter Shannon, brother-in-law Ken, and special friend and neighbor Gene.
Kenny will live on in the memories of many, especially his loving wife of 45 years, Donita. He also leaves behind his son Ray, daughters Shelby, LeeAnn, and Shannon, sisters Nancy LaLander and Carole King, as well as eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and several nieces and great-nephews.
His great expectation was in being reunited after death with family and friends, especially the two grandsons who preceded him, Scott Bruhn and Jordan Clark.
Kenny was precious to us, and will forever be in our hearts.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, January 13, at 1:00 PM at the River Park Community Center, 3611 I Street NE, Auburn, WA, 98002.
