Where is Jennifer?

Sheriff’s Office is cracking open its cold-case files

PORT ORCHARD — The last time anyone saw 17-year-old Jennifer Kathryn Harrison was more than 20 years ago.

The petite 17-year-old woman was last seen on June 15, 1998, at an apartment complex in East Bremerton where she lived with her mother. According to the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office, Harrison was reportedly on her way to the Super 8 Motel on Kitsap Way, although Dep. Scott Wilson said it was based on unconfirmed information.

A white female, she was 5-2 in height, weighed 110-120 pounds, had green eyes, brown hair and had ears and nose body art piercings.

So, the sheriff’s office wants to know, just where is Harrison? It’s a perplexing case — one that has been part of its cold case file. And what is a cold case? According to Wilson, it is “a crime or an accident that has not yet been fully solved and is not the subject of a recent criminal investigation.” It’s also a case in which new information could emerge from new witness testimony, re-examined archives, new or retained material evidence, and fresh activities of the missing person or a suspect, if applicable.

People with any information about Jennifer Kathryn Harrison is asked to call the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office at 360-337-7101, ext. 0. Reference case report K11-009552.
