According to police a shooting from a vehicle occurred Thursday in Seabeck, resulting in the arrest of Gregory Parsons for possession of a stolen firearm, reckless endangerment and driving under the influence. No injuries occurred in the shooting.

According to a statement of probable cause, the reporting party thought they heard a suspicious person shooting from inside a vehicle in the 2600 of NW Four Wheel Drive. The caller was not sure how many people were involved but stated the vehicle was driving away toward Christopher Road NW.

Two Kitsap County Sheriff patrol units were already in the Seabeck area when the reporting party called in the incident, documents read. One of the patrol units noticed a red 1993 Dodge pickup in a driveway at the 1700 block of Peter Hagen Road NW. The vehicle was registered to Parsons at that address.

The driver, Parsons, was allegedly found with a stolen firearm in his waistband when he was initially contacted deputies. Deputies were able to place Parsons into handcuffs and disarm him of the firearm, according to documents. Parsons allegedly showed signs of impairment as he was unable to maintain his balance, displayed watery eyes, had an obvious odor of intoxicants and exhibited repetitive speech.

KCSO advised that a vehicle matching Parsons’ was seen on camera in the 2600 block of NW Four Wheel Dr. firing a gun from inside the truck toward the house. Before Parsons truck was impounded, an AR-15 style rifle was recovered from the floorboard of his truck along with at least three spent shell casings.
