Candidate filing week is upon us and the time has come to see who will be throwing their hats into the ring to lead local government, who will be stepping down from their elected seats and who will be seeking re-election.
Candidate filing week will be May 13-17. Online filing will be available from 9 a.m., Monday, May 13 until 4 p.m., Friday, May 17. In-person filing begins at 8 a.m., Monday, May 13 and ends at 4:30 p.m., Friday, May 17.
Here is a list of some of the positions that are up for grabs in North Kitsap.
North Kitsap School District Board of Directors
- Director District 2 – currently served by Jim Almond.
- Director District 3 – currently served by Beth Worthington.
- Director District 4 – currently served by Glen Robbins.
- Director District 5 – currently served by Cindy Webster-Martinson.
Poulsbo City Council
- Council position 1 – currently served by Kenneth Thomas. Thomas has stated that he will not be seeking re-election.
- Council position 2 – currently served by Connie Lord.
- Council position 3 – currently served by Gary Nystul.
- Council position 4 – currently served by Jeff McGinty.
- Council position 7 – currently served by Abby Garland.
Port of Poulsbo
- Commissioner position 1 – currently served by Steve L. Swann.
Port of Kingston
- Commissioner District 1 – currently served by Steve Heacock.
Port of Eglon
- Commissioner District 1 – currently served by Timothy Holbrook.
