The third Bremerton Bridge Blast, the only bridge fireworks display in the state, was an epic spectacle full of big booms in the night sky above the Manette Bridge last Saturday.
Spectators flocked, hours early to stake out a prime location at the Bremerton Marina to watch the 10-minute firework show that captures the whole city’s attention. Festive boaters were also there to witness the show and were fortunate to have what were arguably the best view of the event.
The all-day event was due in large part to some enhancements made earlier this year to provide for more entertainment leading up to the 10 minute show that capped off the night.
The day began with a street fair at noon on the Louis Mentor Boardwalk with over 60 vendors on hand for food, shopping, beer and entertainment. Live music also keept the good vibes going all day and through the evening, with headliner Soul Siren performing in the lead up to the Bridge Blast.
An airshow preceded the Bridge Blast, starting at 8 p.m. on the south side of the Manette Bridge.
