A body found Saturday morning by a kayaker near NAD Park, off of Ostrich Bay in Bremerton, has been identified.

The Kitsap County Coroner’s Office identified the man as 27-year-old Jose L. Guzman-Abad. The cause and manner of death will be determined once the toxicology report is conducted, Kitsap County Coroner Jeff Wallis said.

According to the Bremerton Police Department, the kayaker discovered the body shortly before noon at the end of Shorewood Drive. BPD detective Beau Ayers said there was no suspected foul play and nothing suspicious about the death. Drug use could have been a factor, Ayers said.
