A 19-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend’s father in the chest.
According to a Bremerton Police Department certificate of probable cause, officers were dispatched to Charleston Ave. for a domestic violence dispute with a knife. The caller said her husband had been stabbed by her son’s girlfriend and was still at the residence.
Once officers arrived at the scene, the victim came to the door with a severe laceration to the upper left side of his chest and was still bleeding, documents read. Police then located the suspect, Emily D. Larrabee, and placed her in handcuffs.
According to documents filed in Kitsap County Superior Court, when a BPD officer spoke with the victim, he stated that his son and Larrabee were playing video games in the living room and asked them if they were still playing games. The victim then said he went into the kitchen to get a glass of water when he felt someone nudging him from behind, according to documents. The victim said when he turned around, Larrabee had a knife in her hand and then stabbed him in the chest.
The victim allegedly asked Larrabee “What are you doing,” to which she replied, “I’m going to kill you.” The victim said he was able to get the knife out and get away from Larrabee until medics arrived. According to documents, when Larrabee was asked by police if she stabbed the victim, she “smiled and shook her head yes.” The 19-year-old claimed that she and her boyfriend were playing video games when the victim started yelling at them, causing her to become angry.
When asked by police if she told the victim she was going to kill him after she stabbed him, documents say Larrabee stared at the officer for a few moments before quietly saying, “yes.” Documents say Larrabee then began to laugh before asking if she could drive the police car.
Larrabee was transported to Kitsap County Jail and was booked for first-degree assault with a deadly weapon. Bail was set at $75,000.
