Disc golf
There are four disc golf events happening across Kitsap County Saturday and Sunday in celebration of “The World’s Biggest Disc Golf Weekend.”
Each event is not so much a competition, but rather a celebration of the sport.
There will be a “bring your own partner” mixed-doubles match at NAD Park in Bremerton beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday. Regular players are encouraged to bring their children, spouses or anyone else interested in playing, even if they are new to the game.
There will be another doubles match at 9 a.m. Sunday at NAD Park, 6002 Kitsap Way, Bremerton.
On Saturday, beginning at 2 p.m., there will be an 18-hole round played at the new Fredericksen Wildnerness Park, owned by the Poulsbo First Lutheran Church.
A round will be played at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Van Zee Course in Port Orchard, with a putting competition for players new to the sport.
The public is invited to all the events
