PORT ORCHARD — A 24-year-old man has notified the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office that he will be residing at a South Kitsap residence.

Dillon William Pariseau, who has served his sentences for sex offenses in 2008 and 2013, told authorities that he will be residing at a residence in the 10000 block of Banner Road Southeast in South Kitsap. Pariseau is 5-foot-7 tall, 180 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair, the sheriff’s office said in a news release March 20.

Pariseau was convicted in 2008 at age 13 of two counts of first-degree child molestation for molesting two 7-year-old girls who were known to him. In 2013, Pariseau, then age 17, was convicted of second-degree rape of a 13-year-old girl after having a sexual relationship with her, who he knew.

The man is not wanted by law enforcement at this time, the sheriff’s office reported. Officials said law enforcement has no legal authority to direct where registered sex offenders may or may not reside. Unless court-ordered restrictions exist, registered sex offenders are constitutionally free to live wherever they choose.

The sheriff’s office said abuse of information provided through the sex offender notification process to intimidate, harass or threaten registered sex offenders will result in an investigation and the filing of criminal charges against the perpetrators.

A community notification meeting concerning Pariseau was scheduled to be held April 1, but because of the COVID-19 situation, the meeting was canceled.
