Kitsap COVID-19 positive count increases to 74

Kitsap County now has 74 positive COVID-19 cases after Kitsap Public Health District’s latest update, which revealed that 11 more residents had tested positive.

To date, about four percent of Kitsap residents tested have been confirmed as positive for coronavirus. Overall testing numbers were not immediately available at the 2 p.m. KPHD update. As of March 30, 1,507 residents had been tested with 1,433 negative results.

No deaths have been reported.

Of the 74 cases in Kitsap, 21 are in South Kitsap, 18 are in North Kitsap, 14 are in Bremerton, 12 are in Central Kitsap and nine are on Bainbridge Island.

The age breakdown is as follows:

  • 0-19: 4 (5 percent)
  • 20-29: 8 (11 percent)
  • 30-39: 9 (12 percent)
  • 40-49: 17 (23 percent)
  • 50-59: 18 (24 percent)
  • 60-69: 11 (15 percent)
  • 70-79: 5 (7 percent)
  • 80+: 2 (3 percent)
