Concerts by the Bay is in full swing at the waterfront

The Big Bear Band featuring classic rock is set to perform on Thursday, June 17.

PORT ORCHARD — With two concerts under its belt, the Fathoms O’ Fun-sponsored 2021 Port Orchard Concerts by the Bay is picking up steam for the summer after taking a break during the pandemic last season.

The summer event on Thursday through Sept. 2 at the Port of Bremerton Marina Park Gazebo, takes place rain or shine at 6:30 p.m. and runs until 8 p.m. The event is free. Sponsors include the City of Port Orchard, Port of Bremerton, Kitsap Bank, Peninsula Credit Union, Denette Chu at Edward Jones Financial, and Friends of the Concerts.

Next up is The Big Bear Band featuring classic rock on Thursday, June 17. Then on June 24, Ranger & The Re-Arrangers will play its selection of gypsy jazz.

July 15: Common Ancestors, world music

July 22: Usual Suspects, classic rock

July 29: Silver City 5, classic rock/blues

Aug. 5: The Tonze, jazz

Aug. 26: High Rollers Band, classic rock/blues

Sept. 2: Danny Vernon Illusion of Elvis, Elvis classics
