PORT ORCHARD — A long-standing summer tradition in Manchester will be broken this year: due to restrictions caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the Friends of the Manchester Library Salmon Bake won’t be staged this summer.
But according to Friends spokesman Ray Pardo, there is a way patrons can show their appreciation for the library and help support the organization. A $20 “Stay Safe Salmon” t-shirt is available for order from the foundation ($25 for sizes 2XL and 3XL).
Funds from the t-shirt sale will help provide funds that normally would come from the salmon bake. Pardo said the salmon bake event will return on Father’s Day 2022.
The t-shirt can be ordered at friends-of-the-manchester-library.square.site/. If you have questions or want to pay by check or cash, email Pardo at raypardo@gmail.com.
